Sailor Loot is Virgin Voyages’ name for onboard credit- money you can spend on the ship or at the Beach Club at Bimini. Sailor Loot is almost as good as cash, as you can spend it on anything including drinks, merchandise, or even casino credit. But be sure to spend it all. Sailor Loot is not refundable once your journey ends. Keep reading to learn some fun ways to spend your Sailor Loot on your next Virgin cruise!
How to spend Sailor Loot
Sailor Loot is similar to the Bar Tab. Simply scan your band at any merchant onboard to use Sailor Loot. It’s as simple as that. Of course, you are probably asking, “what should I buy with Sailor Loot?” Here are some of my favorite ways to spend your Virgin Voyages onboard credit.
Can Sailor Loot be used as Bar Tab?
Yes! Sailor Loot can be used for absolutely everything the Bar Tab can. Picture this scary scenario: It’s day 2 of your 5 night cruise and you’ve spent your Bar Tab. Fear not pirate, Sailor Loot is applied automatically once your Bar Tab runs dry. Buy that next round of beers or frozen triple mocha smoothie. You deserve it!
Bring home some sweet Virgin Voyages merchandise
Looking for a needle-free way to remember the best vacation of your life? Bring home a coffee mug or a miniature model of your favorite Virgin Voyages ship. Maybe you didn’t join the hammock club (if you know, you know) onboard, so pick one up for home! There’s a ton of great merchandise you can only buy onboard, so don’t forget to pickup a souvenir or eight before you disembark.
Go shopping on High Street
Indulge in some retail therapy at the upscale shops on High Street, Virgin Voyages’ onboard shopping district. Makeup, jewelry, and great men’s and women’s wear await you on Deck 6. You can also visit the salon or barber shop to keep you looking your best. If you’re adventurous, get a tattoo at Squid Ink. What better way to ensure you’ll never forget the wild nights you can’t remember!
Detox before you retox at the Redemption Spa
Didn’t purchase A Splash of Romance package? Use your Sailor Loot to purchase spa passes. Or, better yet, get a couples massage with your sweetie and follow it up with a good sweat in the steam room. If you really tore it up on Scarlet Night, you can even get an IV treatment with vitamins and electrolytes to have you ready to go in no time.
Try your luck at the casino
You don’t need cash to play at the onboard casino. Sailor Loot can be redeemed for slot machine credit and promotional chips. Use your promo chips on blackjack, roulette, or craps. Now, you cannot redeem your slot credit or promo chips for actual cash, but you can use them to bet. All winnings are paid out in actual slot credits or casino chips which can then be exchanged for cash.
