The Uranus Fudge Factory in Uranus, Missouri, is a roadside attraction that we just happened upon on our way to a North Dakota State Bison football game. Located just off Route 66 (Interstate 44), this delightful and kitschy stop is a must see if you have a 14-year-old boy’s sense of humor. Lucky for us, dear reader, I do have the sense of humor of a 14 year old boy. Furthermore, I can’t wait to tell you about everything I found in Uranus!
“The Best Fudge Comes from Uranus”
As much as I wish that was my original line, it’s not. “The Best Fudge Comes From Uranus,” is the actual slogan of the Uranus Fudge Factory. I only needed to see one billboard with this message before I decided I needed to hit Uranus. And truly, the fudge was pretty good! I recommend you pop in Uranus just to check out the fudge. Short on time? Don’t worry, they’ll pack your fudge for you! But don’t just take my word for it…
What else is there to do in Uranus?
It turns out there’s quite a bit of fun stuff to do in Uranus, as long as you have a sense of humor! There’s a gift shop where you can get number 2 pencils (see what I did there?) with a little poop emoji eraser. But be careful if you use this for homework. The eraser does leave skid marks. You can also buy tee shirts, Route 66 souvenirs, and fresh strawberries, of all things. There’s a sideshow museum, so you can see all the weird and wacky things Uranus has to offer. They even have an outdoor & survival store! Let’s just say I hope I’m in Uranus if society ever collapses!

If you go to the Uranus Fudge Factory, plan to spend a good 30-60 minutes. Of course, if you really get into Uranus, you could easily kill a couple hours there. I recommend A Taste of Uranus, a 1 lb, 6oz assorted pack of fudge, perfect for sampling the very best Uranus has to offer. If you’re feeling generous, get a Big Package in Uranus, but be warned that’s 64 oz of fudge, so you’ll want to share. Uranus Fudge Factory is a fun little stop along historic Route 66 with souvenirs, treats, and plenty of photo ops.
